3D Viewer

The 3D view renders your circuit as a full 3D model, built directly from the same layout you drew in 2D and textured with your own drawing — it’s a way to see what you’re about to build, not a second place to edit it. Editing always stays in the plan.

Switching from the plan

Switch views from the View control in the toolbar: Plan and 3D are two ways of looking at the same circuit, not separate documents, so nothing you’ve drawn changes when you move between them. The camera opens framed on whatever area the plan view was showing, then tips down into a resting angle over the whole course.

Looking around

Drag to orbit the course, scroll to zoom, and right-drag to pan. The camera won’t dip below the ground plane or let you pan the course off-screen with no way back — it’s built to keep you looking at what you drew, not to explore the void around it.

Watching a run

Send a car around the drift line (see Simulation for tuning the line itself) and a small camera bar appears over the view. Orbit keeps the free camera you already had; a chip for each car in the lineup — Lead, Chase, and Chase 2 and up if there are more — puts you right behind that car instead, riding along as it runs the line.

While you’re riding, drag to look around — over your shoulder at the car behind you, up at a bridge deck as you pass underneath — and the view stays where you left it rather than snapping back when you let go. Switching to a different car, or back to Orbit, resets you to looking straight ahead.
