FAQ

Is it free?

Yes. Everything in Circuit Builder today is free to use, and creating an account only takes an email address and a password — no card. Paid features may show up down the line, but nothing here now is held back behind one.

Do I need an account?

Yes — the editor sits behind sign-in, and signing up is the same email-and-password form as anywhere else. If you’d rather not type a password, the sign-in form can email you a one-time link instead. Once you’re in, your circuits are yours to take with you: export any of them to a file whenever you want. See Saving & Circuits for how saving actually works day to day.

Which scales does it cover?

Ten: 1/76, 1/64, 1/43, 1/32, 1/28, 1/24, 1/18, 1/10, 1/8, and 1/5. None of them are one set of numbers stretched or shrunk to fit — each scale carries its own lane widths, turn radii, and climb limits, derived from that scale’s own reference car. Is it only for drift?

No — it’s built around drift, but it works just as well for a grip track. Every piece’s entry and exit width is its own setting, so a grip layout gets grip dimensions rather than inheriting anything from drift defaults.

Can I really print it and build it?

Yes. Export Tile templates, extract the ZIP, and print its print.html at Actual size / 100%. Check the calibration bars before assembling the numbered sections. Overview / PDF and the build report are reference documents; tile templates carry the full-size RC building dimensions. See Build & Printing for tile sizing and assembly.

Can I plan for a space I already have?

Yes — that’s the order Circuit Builder expects. Set your area first (a table, a garage floor, a hall), then draw inside it at the scale you’re actually building at. See Area Setup for how to define that space and what happens when a layout strays outside it.

Will my circuit look like this?

The road — its markings and its dimensions — is drawn to scale, and that’s the part you’re planning. Touge terrain and woodland provide generated context. City scenery is automatic, with a Regenerate control under Draw → Contents → Scenery → Automatic scenery. Competition scenery can be placed, resized, rotated, and replaced from Environment. Check model dimensions and footprints against your actual materials and available space; the rendered models do not prescribe how to build them.

Are my circuits private?

Private by default. A circuit stays visible to nobody but you until you publish it to the gallery, where anyone can see it and a signed-in visitor can remix it into a circuit of their own. Unpublishing takes it straight back down. Rating and favoriting need an account too, and neither exposes who rated or favorited what. See Community & Gallery for publishing and remixing in full.

Does it work offline?

Once you sign in, Circuit Builder keeps a copy of your circuits on your own device as well as in your account, so the editor keeps working without a connection and pushes anything you changed up to your account once it’s back. See Saving & Circuits for how saving and syncing work together.
