Getting Started

Start with your RC scale and the space you have. Create an editable layout, draw your roads, preview a lap in Drive, then prepare templates in Build. Use a tablet or computer to sign in, edit, and print. Phones can browse public pages.

Create your first circuit

Open the editor and choose New Circuit. Complete three steps:

  1. Scale: choose your car’s RC scale. This sets the road-width, turn-radius, elevation, and clearance guidance. See Scale & Units.
  2. Space: choose display units, then enter a rectangle or draw a measured custom boundary. You can reuse your last setup. See Area Setup for drawing and keyboard coordinate entry.
  3. Type: choose Competition, Touge, or City. This controls scenery and available elements; you design the roads. The images illustrate each type. Add an optional circuit name, then choose Create circuit.

Your circuit opens with a blank road layout in Plan and the Road tool ready. Draw your first road inside the boundary. You can configure tile grids and printing later in Build.

Click once to choose the first start, then keep clicking destinations to commit connected roads. Each endpoint automatically becomes the next start. Drag the latest span’s handle to bend it. Press Escape to end the chain and keep the roads you drew. Road stays selected; press V when you are ready to select and edit pieces.

Draw: shape the layout

Use Select, Road, and Elevation on the left tool rail. Select a piece to open Properties beside the tool rail and edit its dimensions. Use Place to open the element catalog. Drawing Roads explains the tools; Circuit Elements covers markings, objects, zones, and facilities.

Use Contents on the right to search for a piece; its Focus button centers it. View controls the plan layers you see on screen. Drawing, Dimensions, and Presentation presets do not change print exports. Switch between Plan and 3D in the upper-right canvas controls.

The top bar shows the circuit name and RC scale. Click the name to rename it. Open Circuit menu → Circuit settings… in the top-left corner for Type, RC scale, and the narrower-lane preference.

Drive: check the run

Choose Drive in the top bar, then play or scrub a lap. Check the drift path and clearance warnings, open Drive settings to adjust the line or add chase cars under Cars. Choose Overhead or 3D to watch the run. Drive & Simulation explains path editing and tuning; 3D Viewer covers cameras and lighting. Drive is a planning preview and is marked beta.

Build: test a piece, then print

Choose Build → Pieces & progress and try Start with piece before printing the whole circuit. Use Setup & printing for full-size templates and the build guide, and Materials & budget for your shopping list. Follow Build & Printing for calibration and assembly. Return to Draw whenever you need to edit the layout.

Keep your circuit and continue later

The editor autosaves while you work. Open the Circuit menu in the top-left corner for All circuits…, recent circuits, imports, Versions…, and Download circuit (.cb). See Saving & Circuits for sync, backups, and private versions.

You can browse the public gallery on your phone without an account. To start from someone else’s published layout, follow the remix steps in Community & Gallery.

Find commands and help

Press Ctrl/Cmd K to find commands by name. Help opens Shortcuts, feedback, and the editor tour. Your avatar menu opens Account and Artwork credits. Scale, Space, and Type explain each setup choice in the step description. After creating a circuit, new users can start an optional hands-on editor tour.

Try drawing a road, selecting a piece, changing its elevation, adding a detail, finding a piece in Contents, and editing its Properties. These actions change your circuit; use Undo to reverse an experiment. Completed tool lessons advance automatically after a brief acknowledgment. Choose Next to continue without completing an action, or Skip to leave the tour.

The tour also explains View options, asks you to visit 3D and return to Plan, and introduces Drive and Build. Replay it with Help → Take a tour in Draw, Drive, or Build. After closing the tour, Tool guide offers help for the current tool.

If you see More room makes building easier, widen the window, turn a tablet sideways, or choose Continue editing anyway. Copy editor link opens the editor on another device; sign in to the same account for synced circuits. It does not transfer local-only edits. Use Download circuit backup if offered to move the file yourself.
